In 1979, 62 Americans were captured by the Iranian people; six escaped and went to the Canadian Embassy. The US government is trying desperately to retrieve them, so the call in Tony Mendez, a CIA agent to help rescue them. They don't have an idea of how to get Mendez into Iran and how to get the six escaped Americans back out to the United States. Eventually Mendez comes up with a plan: to pretend to be a fake Canadian film crew. This film is more then just trying to save people from an land where they are being murdered, it's about the Mendez's and the "fake" film crews dedication to saving the frightened people. They were told to discontinue the mission but they kept on going. Mendez knew that if their plan failed he would be killed too but he knew that they wanted to be back home so he took a risk.

The film Dear White People is about a film major at Winchester University, Sam, who sparks rage/emotion when she started her radio show called "Dear White People." Going against her ex-boyfriend Troy she wins head of house of Armstrong/ Parker. Troy who didn't take losing to well said he needed time off anyways because of his busy schedule, but on the other hand his father, Dean of Winchester University, isn't too pleased about that. While Coco and Lionel, two other students living in Armstrong/ Parker just want to lead their lives but issues evolves. This film is about how people are treating different color people, but beyond that it is about how people react to these situations. We see in this film how four different people act, but at the end they want the same things; for people to treat them the same and not make jokes.
